Schizophrenia Research

Schizophrenia affects approximately 24 million people or 1 in 300 people (0.32%) worldwide and is frequently associated with significant distress and impairment in personal, family, social, educational, occupational, and other important areas of life.

Schizophrenia typically involves delusions, hallucinations, unusual physical behavior, and disorganized thinking and speech. People with this disorder commonly experience paranoid thoughts or hear non-existent voices. These psychotic episodes can be frightening, isolating, and extremely confusing.

The disorder tends to appear gradually – so much so that people experiencing symptoms (and their families) may not be aware of the illness for months or even years. For some, however, the symptoms of schizophrenia come on rapidly and are easier to recognize.

That is why Tandem Clinical Research is looking for volunteers with schizophrenia for a medical research study designed to help manage symptoms safely. To qualify, you or a loved one must:

  • Be 18 to 65 years of age
  • Have a diagnosis of schizophrenia
  • Currently be taking medication to manage schizophrenia

Qualified participants will receive study-related care. Compensation for time and travel may be available. To learn more or schedule an appointment, complete the form below!
