Bowel Strictures
Benign Bowel Strictures Research Study
Benign bowel strictures are an abnormal narrowing or tightening in the intestines that makes it difficult for food to pass and may lead to nausea, vomiting and severe cramping.
Benign bowel strictures are a rare but important cause of large-bowel obstruction and are due to a variety of causes including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) like Crohn’s disease. Although surgery remains the mainstay of treatment, alternate therapies are being developed including a minimally invasive treatment option. That’s why Tandem Clinical Research is looking for volunteers with bowel strictures for a research study of an investigational device. To qualify, you must
✓ be 22 years of age or older
✓ have a current diagnosis of benign bowel strictures
✓ have had at least two previous dilations in the past 12 months
✓ be willing to undergo a medical procedure to treat their current stricture
Qualified participants will receive study-related medication and care. Compensation for time and travel may be available. To learn more or schedule an appointment, complete the form below!
