Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common functional gastrointestinal disorder characterized by abdominal pain or discomfort, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. It is a chronic condition that can significantly affect a person’s quality of life..

That’s why volunteers are needed to participate in a research study of an investigational IBS medication. To qualify, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older  
  • Have IBS with diarrhea
  • Have stomach pain from diarrhea
