Memory Matters: Monthly Support Group for Alzheimer’s Disease

Key Features of Memory Matters:

1. Monthly Meetings: The support group will hold monthly meetings, allowing members to come together, share their journeys, and learn from one another’s experiences.
2. Expert Guidance: Experienced guest speakers, including healthcare professionals specializing in Alzheimer’s disease, will be invited to provide valuable insights and guidance during meetings.
3. Resource Sharing: Members will have access to a curated collection of resources, ranging from informational brochures to a detailed support group notebook, ensuring that caregivers and families have the information they need to navigate their roles effectively.
4. Emotional Support: The group aims to foster a strong sense of community where participants can openly express their emotions, concerns, and triumphs, knowing that they are among people who truly understand.

There is another group that meets every third Thursday at 5 pm at the Home Instead office at 3330 West Esplanade Ave., Suite 200, Metairie.

There is also group that meets every first Wednesday of each month at 5 pm at the Christwood Foundation Boardroom at 101 Christwood Boulevard, Covington.

All those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease – caregivers, family members and friends – are welcome to join.
