Tandem Clinical Research is participating in a groundbreaking end-of-life research study and is seeking individuals 50+ years of age with less than 12 months to live who are willing to donate their brains to advance scientific understanding. In return, participants and their caregivers receive compensation and the opportunity to contribute to life-changing research.
What is involved?
SCREENING VISIT: Participants undergo a brief exam to determine if they are eligible for the study
PET IMAGING: Patients will receive at least one PET scan that will show a specific protein in the brain
BRAIN DONATION: Upon death, brain tissue will be sent for analysis to determine the amount and pattern of specific brain protein
REPORT OF FINDINGS: Researchers will analyze the results and provide a report to families at the conclusion of the study provide a report to families at the conclusion of the study
